Kovra

Terms and Conditions

Last updated:

These terms govern your use of Kovra ("Kovra", "we", "us"): the app at app.kovra.ca and this website. Kovra is operated by Philippe Trudel in Montréal, Québec, Canada. By creating an account or using Kovra, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. Who can use Kovra

You must be at least 16 years old. Give us accurate information, use one account per person, and keep access to your email and Google account secure: anyone who can sign in as you can use your Kovra account.

2. Training and your health

Kovra gives general training plans. It is not medical advice and does not replace a doctor, physiotherapist or coach who knows you. Talk to a health professional before starting or changing a training program, especially if you have an injury, a medical condition, or have not trained in a while.

You decide how and when you train. Train within your abilities, stop if you feel pain, dizziness or shortness of breath, and use common sense about conditions: swim in open water only where it is safe and supervised, and follow the rules of the road when you ride or run.

3. Plans made with software and AI

Your weeks and workouts are produced by our planner and by AI providers (see the Privacy Policy). They can contain mistakes, such as a session that is too long, too hard, or placed at a bad time. Review each session before you do it and adjust it to how you feel.

4. Your calendar and connected apps

When you connect Google Calendar, intervals.icu, COROS, Claude or another service, you allow Kovra to use it as described when you connect it: for example, to read when you are busy, add your sessions to your calendar, or send workouts to your training app. Those services have their own terms. We are not responsible for their availability or for changes they make. You can disconnect them at any time in Settings.

5. Your information

Your training information stays yours. You allow us to use it to run Kovra for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can delete your account at any time.

6. Acceptable use

Do not:

7. Price

Kovra is currently free. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you before anything is charged, and you can choose not to subscribe.

8. Changes to Kovra

Kovra is a young service. We may add, change or remove features, and Kovra may sometimes be unavailable. If we plan to stop Kovra, we will give you notice and a way to export your information.

9. Ending your use

You can stop using Kovra and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other people or the service at risk. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why first.

10. Kovra's content

The Kovra software, design, name and logo belong to us. These terms do not give you any right to use them other than to use Kovra.

11. Liability

We work to keep Kovra accurate and available, but we provide it as it is and as available. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, or for losses caused by services we do not control. Nothing in these terms limits a right you have as a consumer, or our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited, including for bodily or moral injury caused by our fault.

12. Changes to these terms

If we make important changes, we will update the date above and let you know by email or in the app before they take effect. If you do not agree with the new terms, you can stop using Kovra and delete your account.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Québec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. As a consumer, you keep your right to bring a claim before the courts of the place where you live.
