Privacy Policy

Kovra ("Kovra", "we", "us") is an app that plans triathlon training around your calendar. It is operated by Philippe Trudel in Montréal, Québec, Canada. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture.
- Training information you give us: your race and race date, the days and times you can train, fitness benchmarks (such as cycling FTP, swim pace and run pace), your experience level, your time zone, and any injuries or limits you choose to share.
- Calendar information: with your permission, Kovra reads your Google Calendar to find the times you are busy, and creates events for your planned sessions. We use the start and end times of your events to find free time. We do not store the titles, descriptions or guests of your existing events.
- Connected training apps: if you connect intervals.icu or COROS, we store an access token so we can send your workouts to that account. You can disconnect at any time in Settings.
- Technical information: basic logs (such as IP address, browser type and time of request) to keep the service secure and working.
2. How we use your information
To create and adjust your training plan, place sessions in your calendar, send workouts to the apps you connect, keep your account secure, and contact you about the service. We do not use your information for advertising.
3. AI processing
To write your weekly plan and workout details, we send your training information to AI service providers that process it on our behalf. We do not send your name or email address, and these providers do not use your information to train their AI models. Providers we currently use:
- TypeSafe AI (Jev), United States: builds the structure of your training week.
- Anthropic (Claude), United States: writes the details of your workouts. Anthropic stores data in the United States and may process it in other countries where its cloud providers operate.
- Vercel (AI Gateway), United States: routes requests to the AI providers above and deletes them once each request is complete.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- service providers that help us run Kovra (hosting, AI processing, email), under agreements that limit how they can use it;
- apps you choose to connect, such as intervals.icu or COROS;
- authorities, if the law requires it.
5. Google user data
Kovra's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google Calendar data only to plan and schedule your training. We do not use it for advertising, do not sell it, do not let people read it unless you ask us to (for example, for support) or the law requires it, and do not use it to train general-purpose AI models. You can remove Kovra's access at any time from your Google Account permissions page.
6. Where your information is stored
Your information is stored on servers in Canada (Montréal, Québec). Some of our service providers may process it outside Québec and Canada. When that happens, we take steps to make sure it stays protected.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep it longer.
8. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal information, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. To do so, contact us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.
9. Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit, restricted access and reasonable security practices. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify you and the authorities if a breach puts you at risk of serious harm.
10. Children
Kovra is not intended for anyone under 16.
11. Changes
If we make important changes to this policy, we will update the date above and let you know by email or in the app.
